I've used the volume control for years, to turn down a little, but the amp was always set for the base tone the song required with the guitar on 10. I would get a Surfy Bear reverb tank and a pedal like the Strymon for multiple delay types or possibly one of the very good tape echo type pedals out there (Echowreck?). Oct 10, 2015 · I'm also using the spring reverb a lot more than I thought I would. It's not a very drippy, surfy kind of spring - it's a bit vanilla - but that makes it more suitable for a wider range of stuff. A nice option, and i'm surprised at how well behaved and low noise everything is.
